This Privacy Policy explains how AddCalc handles information related to the use of the website and the Work Hours Calculator available at addcalc.com.
Website owner/operator: AddCalc, operated by the website owner.
Privacy Officer / Privacy Contact: AddCalc
Email: [email protected]
This policy applies to the processing of information by AddCalc on the website and, in particular, to the local storage features and Google technologies described on this page.
This Privacy Policy is intended to provide transparency to visitors worldwide. Privacy laws differ by jurisdiction, and specific rights and obligations may apply only where the relevant law applies to AddCalc based on factors such as the visitor's location, the nature of the services provided, the volume or type of information processed, and other statutory requirements.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit any privacy rights that cannot lawfully be limited under applicable law.
AddCalc is designed to perform calculations directly in the visitor's browser (client-side). The times and other values entered in the calculator are not sent by the calculator's features to AddCalc's servers.
Calculations are performed locally on your device. However, using the site may involve technical and browsing information processed by third-party services, particularly Google, as described in this policy.
AddCalc directly processes the following categories of information:
localStorage and are not transmitted to AddCalc's servers by the calculator functionality.AddCalc does not operate its own analytics or advertising database containing visitors' IP addresses or browsing information. Any such information is processed by Google as described in Section 5.
When Google technologies are used and consent is granted where required, Google may independently process technical and browsing information, including but not limited to:
This information is processed by Google for measurement, attribution, security, advertising, and other features related to the products used, in accordance with the account settings and Google's own policies.
The calculator uses the browser's localStorage feature to preserve the following values on the visitor's own device:
This storage is performed locally by the browser and does not transmit these values to AddCalc's servers. The data remains on your device until you delete it, the browser deletes it, or a site-data clearing action occurs.
Your choice regarding cookies and advertising technologies is also recorded locally in localStorage so the site can remember that preference on future visits. This record is not sent to the server by this page's code.
The localStorage used to maintain the calculator's functionality is not an advertising cookie. To delete saved values, you can use your browser's site storage/data settings.
AddCalc uses the Google tag linked to Google Ads. The tag is configured with Google Consent Mode v2 and starts with advertising and analytics permissions in denied status. The visitor's choice may later change those states.
Google Ads is used for advertising campaign measurement and, when the corresponding features are enabled in the AddCalc account, for remarketing and advertising audience formation.
When consent is granted, Google may process information related to the visit, which may include, depending on the applicable configuration:
This information is processed by Google for measurement, attribution, security, advertising, and other features related to the products used, in accordance with the account settings and Google's own policies.
No. In the configuration currently used on this page, there is no Google Analytics implementation. Accordingly, this policy does not attribute to Google Analytics any collection that is not currently configured in this code.
When the visitor refuses the use of advertising technologies, AddCalc keeps the relevant Google Consent Mode permissions in denied status. In this condition, Google tags should not use or record new advertising cookies in the same way they would after consent.
When consent is denied, Google Consent Mode may still transmit limited signals associated with the operation of the Google tag. These signals are not the same as storing advertising cookies, but they may allow Google to model or otherwise process certain information in accordance with the applicable Google services and configuration.
Third party involved: Google LLC and affiliated companies. For more information, see the Google Privacy Policy and information about how Google uses information from sites and apps.
Depending on how you use the website, information may be obtained:
AddCalc limits processing to the purposes described in this policy. For non-essential advertising and measurement technologies that depend on the visitor's choice, we use consent as the legal basis.
| Activity / purpose | Legal basis | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Preserve calculator values on the device | Necessary for providing the requested calculator functionality | Storage occurs locally in the browser. |
| Record and remember consent preference | Necessary to record and respect the user's privacy choice | The preference is stored locally in the browser to avoid showing the banner on every visit. |
| Advertising campaign measurement with Google Ads | Consent | Initial permission denied; activation after user choice. |
| Remarketing and visit-based advertising, when enabled | Consent | Depends on the effective configuration of advertising features. |
AddCalc does not sell the data provided in the calculator. The values entered in the time fields are not sent to AddCalc's servers by the features described in this policy.
When you consent to Google technologies, information related to your use of the site may be processed by Google LLC and its affiliates. This data may be transferred to and processed outside your country, including in the United States and other countries where Google or its service providers operate, subject to applicable international transfer mechanisms and Google's contractual conditions and policies.
AddCalc does not sell personal information as defined by applicable privacy laws.
Calculator data: remains in your device's local storage until you delete it, the browser deletes it, or a site-data clearing action occurs.
Information submitted by email: information voluntarily provided when contacting AddCalc by email may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the request, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.
Data processed by Google: applicable retention periods are defined by the corresponding Google services, settings, and policies. AddCalc does not directly control these periods when processing occurs on Google's infrastructure.
AddCalc does not maintain, on its own servers, a database with the times entered in the calculator.
AddCalc is a general-purpose website and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the calculator.
Because the calculator operates primarily in the visitor's browser, the time values entered into the calculator are not transmitted to AddCalc's servers by the calculator functionality.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to AddCalc through another channel, please contact us so that we can review the matter and take appropriate action.
Depending on your location, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information. AddCalc is committed to honoring these rights in accordance with applicable law.
You may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, blocking or elimination of unnecessary data, portability, information about sharing, and revocation of consent. You may also complain to the ANPD (Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados).
Depending on the province and the circumstances of the processing, applicable Canadian privacy laws may include PIPEDA or substantially similar provincial privacy legislation, including privacy legislation applicable in Quebec, Alberta, and British Columbia.

Quebec residents may have additional rights under Quebec privacy legislation, including rights relating to data portability and, where the legal requirements are met, requests concerning the de-indexing of personal information.
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing. You may also withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office).
The legal bases for processing are described in Section 7 above.
Where applicable, AddCalc will comply with the Australian Privacy Act and the Australian Privacy Principles.
You may request access to and correction of your personal information, and lodge a complaint about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may contact the OAIC (Office of the Australian Information Commissioner).
Google and other service providers may be located outside Australia, including in the United States and other jurisdictions.
Privacy requirements in the United States vary by state. Certain state privacy laws apply only to businesses that satisfy specific statutory thresholds or other applicability requirements. Where a state privacy law applies to AddCalc, AddCalc will provide the rights and disclosures required by that law.
Where applicable, AddCalc will honor rights provided by applicable U.S. state privacy laws. Depending on the applicable law, these rights may include rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or restrict certain uses of personal information, as well as rights relating to targeted advertising, the sale or sharing of personal information, or profiling.
AddCalc does not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through the calculator and does not use calculator-entered work times to create advertising profiles.
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), where that law applies to AddCalc.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at: [email protected].
You can refuse non-essential technologies in the banner shown on the site. Refusal does not prevent you from using the calculator.

You can also control cookies and advertising through your browser settings and tools offered by Google, including Google Ads Settings.
We adopt reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature and risk of the activities carried out by the site to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
The calculator is designed so that entered times are processed locally in the browser. Nevertheless, no internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security.
AddCalc does not currently respond to browser-based Do Not Track (DNT) signals. The website instead uses its consent mechanism and applicable privacy controls described in this policy.
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in the site, the services used, advertising settings, or applicable legal requirements. The last update date will be indicated at the top of this page.
Material changes will be communicated through a notice on the site.
